Visitor help

Find ice, understand schedules and map markers, and plan your visit. Future features are clearly marked at the end.

Getting started

1 What is Nakatok?

Nakatok helps you find somewhere to skate: choose an ice arena, a small rink or a seasonal venue, view the published schedule and plan your time on the ice.

The main idea is to shorten the journey from “I want to skate” to “Here is a suitable rink and its next session”.

2 Why use Nakatok if rinks have websites and social media?

A rink's own website is useful when you already know where you want to go. Nakatok answers a different question: “I want to skate. Where should I go?” It helps you compare places without replacing their websites and social media.

3 Do I need to pay or register to browse?

No. The directory, map, published venue pages and schedules are available for free without registration. Paid plans for representatives are not on sale yet.

Search and map

1 How do I find a rink near me?

Open the map, select the area or town you need and look at suitable places. Allowing location access makes it easier to search nearby. Then open a venue page and check its schedule.

2 Must I allow location access?

No, you can search without it. Location access helps select a search area and does not publish your position to other visitors.

3 What do the marker colours mean?

The colour shows who maintains the listing and how recently the schedule was updated:

  • Green: This listing is maintained by the venue representatives. The schedule was recently updated.
  • Orange: This listing is maintained by the venue representatives. Before travelling, confirm the schedule with the venue.
  • Sky blue: This listing is maintained by the website administrators. The schedule was recently updated.
  • Grey: This listing is maintained by the website administrators. Before travelling, confirm the schedule with the venue.

Grey or orange does not mean a rink is poor or closed. Also read the text explanations next to the labels.

4 What does official participation mean?

A venue participates in the service through a team with verified authority and the Official plan or higher enabled, free of charge during launch or paid after sales begin.

This is not government accreditation, a rating of rink quality or a guarantee that the schedule will not change.

5 Can I filter places by confirmations and facilities?

Use the available directory filters. Official participation and schedule freshness are separate: a place without official participation can also have a recently checked schedule. Rental and other facility details can help you choose a suitable venue if that information has been entered.

6 How accurate is the map marker?

It depends on the accuracy of the coordinates collected. Before travelling, check the address, entrance and directions with the venue itself. If the marker is wrong, report it through the corrections form. Do not treat it as the exact entrance to the building.

Schedules and your trip

1 Where can I see the next session and the full schedule?

On the venue page and its separate schedule page. You can view a selected week and move to a neighbouring one. Sessions appear once the schedule has been entered, checked and published.

2 Which time zone is used for sessions?

The rink's local time, not your device's time zone. This is especially important when planning a trip to another region.

3 How do I know whether a schedule is current?

Look at the label and review date. A recent confirmation normally lasts seven days. Afterwards the schedule can stay on the site without the recent-check label. Even a fresh check does not rule out last-minute changes.

4 Why is an old schedule not removed immediately?

It may still be useful. We distinguish recently checked information from details that need checking again instead of hiding the entire schedule without explanation after seven days.

5 What if there is no schedule?

Check the rink's official website or social media, or call it. If you find a current schedule, send a link and explanation for review. A missing schedule on the site does not mean the rink is closed.

6 How can I tell if a session is cancelled or moved?

Open the published schedule: it includes reviewed replacements and cancellations. If a change has not yet reached the service, confirm it with the rink and report the error to us with a source link.

7 Can I buy a ticket through Nakatok?

We do not currently sell tickets ourselves. Ask the rink how to buy one. If the venue page links to official ticket sales, purchases take place there. A session in the schedule does not mean a reservation or guaranteed ticket availability.

8 Can I fully trust the listed price?

Prices and conditions may change. If the price has not been updated for a while or matters to your trip, check it with the rink itself, including rental, sharpening, concessions and additional services.

9 What should I check before travelling?
  • The session date and time and the latest review label.
  • Whether the venue is closed or skating has been cancelled.
  • The price, rental and ticket purchasing arrangements.
  • Age restrictions, holidays and competitions.
  • The address and the correct entrance.

Nakatok helps you choose a place but cannot guarantee that all information will remain unchanged at every moment.

Seasonal rinks and closures

1 Does the directory include seasonal rinks?

Yes, the service is suitable for both indoor arenas and seasonal outdoor venues. Having a page does not mean the rink is open right now.

2 What if there is no summer skating or the season has not started yet?

Check the season, published dates and the rink's own announcements. A venue page can remain between seasons. If you know of a period without skating, you can tell us about it. Having no upcoming sessions alone does not mean that a place has closed forever.

3 Why does a closed place remain on the site?

People continue to search for it by name, address and old links. A page with closure information is more useful than a missing page. A temporary break and permanent closure are different situations.

Sources and corrections

1 What if a listed service is unavailable or skating is not taking place?

Select “Report inaccurate information” beside the service or session on the venue page. Tell us when you noticed the problem, what was listed and what you found instead. You can attach evidence. Members of the website administration review the complaint, not venue representatives. Your personal details are not shared with them.

2 Can one complaint remove a venue from the map?

No. We check the circumstances first. An established inaccuracy is corrected specifically: we withdraw the service or incorrect time, without hiding an otherwise accurate venue page. Official participation and a recently updated schedule do not guarantee every service or rule out changes. Confirm important conditions directly with the venue before travelling.

3 Where does the information come from?

Official venue websites and announcements, other public sources, material from verified representatives and visitor submissions. Receiving a message does not by itself make it a published fact.

4 How do I report an error, a new place or a closure?

Use the information form. Identify the venue, describe the change and add a source link if you have one.

You can submit a schedule as text or attach up to five files totalling no more than 50 MiB. Accepted formats are images, PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX), ODT, Excel (XLS/XLSX), CSV, TXT and saved web pages (HTM/HTML). TXT, HTM and HTML files must use UTF-8 encoding. Scripts in saved pages are not run, and external images or other files are not downloaded. If the schedule is shown as an image, attach that image separately.

Messages about a venue are reviewed by its verified representatives first. If it has no verified representatives, or you are suggesting a new venue, the site administrators review the message. Messages and attachments do not automatically change published information.

If your message concerns the venue representatives or needs independent review, select that option in the form. It will go to the site administrators rather than the venue representatives. You can also use the contact page. If you are reporting published content, include a link to its page.

5 What if one rink has two pages?

Send links to both pages through the corrections form. We will check whether they really describe one place: different ice surfaces in one complex and different rinks with similar names are not always duplicates.

6 Why did the name change but not the page address?

Names and page addresses change separately to keep old links working. When an address change is approved, the old link redirects to the new page.

7 How else can I help the service?

Report current schedules, wrong addresses, new prices, rink openings or closures. Even one correction can save someone a trip to a closed rink. It is best to include a verifiable source.

Personal accounts and help

1 What is an account for at the moment?

With a verified email, you can write reviews and manage them in “My reviews”. Representatives also need an account to request management of a venue, invite colleagues and update venue information and schedules.

If you represent a rink, start with For venues.

2 What if the registration email does not arrive?

Check the address and spam folder, then resend once the waiting period shown on the page has passed. If the email still does not arrive, contact support.

3 How do I close my account or ask about my data?

Write to bukinapps@yandex.ru from your account email and describe your request. See the Personal Data Processing Policy for details. Do not send passwords or confirmation codes.

4 Can I decline optional analytics?

Yes. Where connected, optional analytics are enabled only after consent. You can change your choice in cookie settings. Essential sign-in and security tools work separately from optional analytics.

5 Do rink representatives receive my personal information from statistics?

Viewing a page does not give representatives access to your email address, IP address or travel history. Planned statistics about interest in a page are intended to provide aggregate indicators rather than a list of visitors.

Service conditions and reviews

1 Where can I find the details of a service?

Choose “Conditions” beside a service on the venue page. If a description is available, you will see the details, source and update date. Conditions past their end date are not shown as current. Check anything important to your trip with the venue. If there is no translation, the description appears in the language in which it was added.

2 How do I write about a visit?

Choose “Share your experience” on the venue page, beside a service or a skating session. Sign in with a verified email, enter the date and describe your experience. You can write without stars or rate the services you used. The date and session you select do not verify attendance. Do not include abuse, advertising or other people's personal information.

We first check your main review and service comments. We correct errors and inappropriate wording while preserving what you mean. You can compare your original text with the suggested version and read why it was changed. If a text cannot be accepted, its reason is shown beside it. You can still submit the other texts separately.

Confirm the texts and ratings you want to submit for review. Only reviews approved by the site administrators will appear on the website. After submitting, you will see a confirmation on the page. You do not need to send the review again. The decision will appear in your account notifications and arrive by email. Editing a published review follows the same steps.

3 How do I save a venue and follow its news?

Sign in and select the heart on the venue page. The venue will appear in your favorites. News from its representatives will appear in your account notifications. You can turn off news for each venue separately or remove the venue from your favorites.

4 Can I translate a review into my language?

If a review is written in another language, select “Translate”. The original text will remain available.

5 How are ratings calculated, and can I edit my review?

The venue and each service have separate ratings. Only one rating from you counts towards each average. Further reviews do not add extra votes, and a new review without stars does not remove your previous rating.

In “My reviews”, you can edit your text, remove your stars from the rating or hide your review from the website. Once you remove a rating, editing the text or restoring the review does not bring that rating back.

6 How is a review different from reporting incorrect information?

A review describes your visit. If a service, time or another venue detail on the website is incorrect, choose “Report incorrect information”. You can also find this link beside your own review. For abuse or personal information in a review or reply, choose “Report a violation”.

Representatives can reply but cannot remove criticism. A low rating alone does not block a venue. Paying for a plan cannot improve its rating or hide negative reviews.

Meetups with friends

1 How can I arrange a skating meetup?

Choose “Create a meetup” on a skating session or venue page. You can choose a scheduled event or set your own date and time. You need an account to create a meetup. Find your meetups and requests under “My meetups” in your personal account, on the “Participant” and “Organizer” tabs. Open the meetups section.

2 What is the difference between an open and a private meetup?

Anyone can view an open meetup. For a private meetup, the organizer sends friends an invitation link. After signing in, the recipient selects “Request access” and waits for approval. Meetup details stay hidden until approval. The organizer can replace the link, decline a request or remove a participant’s access.

3 What do “Going”, “Maybe” and “Not going” mean?

These responses tell others about your plans. They do not buy a ticket or book the ice. You can change your response before the meetup starts. “Not going” does not remove access. You also need to choose a response after your request is approved: the organizer does not decide whether you will attend.

4 How will I know if the skating event is cancelled or rescheduled?

When a meetup is created for a scheduled event, its organizer and approved participants receive a message in the notification bell after a cancellation or time change is published. A warning appears on the meetup page. Your chosen attendance response is kept. Check the schedule with the venue before travelling. Cancelling a personal meetup does not cancel the skating session or request a ticket refund.

5 Do I need a paid plan for a personal meetup?

No. Personal meetups are free, whatever plan the venue uses. The venue itself needs the Promotion or Flagship plan to publish training, matches and other additional events.

Planned: more features for visitors

1 What is “I'm going skating”?

This is a future “I'm planning to go” marker for a specific session. It will help show interest in the selected time but will not buy a ticket or reserve a place. Ordinary statistics must not automatically reveal to representatives the personal information of everyone who marked their intention to attend.

2 Will there be saved settings and other languages?

You can already change the language through the website menu. The languages available depend on the edition you use. We will continue to improve personal settings. Changing the language of a venue page changes its text, not the venue.

3 Will rinks be able to buy first place in search or a marker colour?

No. Future payment must not buy hidden first place, a user rating or guaranteed attendance. Colour depends on official participation and schedule freshness, and cannot be chosen at purchase. Any advertising must be clearly labelled.
